How did I work?

Hoe ging ik te werk?

For this work, we had to choose a song and make a wood sculpture using its rhythm. I chose the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana. The outside of the work refers to the rhythm of the stanzas (calm and peaceful) the inside refers to the rhythm of the chorus (chaotic and wild). The sculpture consists of wooden slats attached to each other. Check my work process here!

Dit werk is gebaseerd op het ritme van een zelfgekozen lied. Ik koos voor het lied "Smells Like Teen Spirit" van Nirvana. De buitenkant van het werk verwijst naar het ritme van de strofes (kalm en rustig) de binnenkant verwijst naar het ritme van het refrein (chaotisch en wild). De sculptuur bestaat uit houten latjes die aan elkaar vast gemaakt zijn. Bekijk mijn werkproces hier!
